'From Here to Heir', MM

     In a manor called Bedlam that once belonged to Sam, Duke of Yosemite after he got bankrupted and kicked to the curb, it was taken over by Duke Shadow, and Duchess Rouge. They were both really rich in money and jewels. But one day, Shadow’s uncle, the king, cut his allowance off and Rouge’s aunt, the queen, took half-off of Rouge’s jewels. So the advisor walked up to Shadow and Rouge and tried to explain.

     “Advisor!” Shadow said. “Where’s my money!”
     “Don’t forget about my payment in jewels!” Rouge said. “Where’s that?”
     “But… but, sire.” The advisor explained. “There is no more money. Your uncle, the king, has cut off your allowance.” And then he said to Rouge, “and your aunt, the queen, took half off of your jewel payment.”
     “Outrageous!” Shadow said. “How dare he cut off my allowance!”
     “And that goes for the jewels, too!” Rouge said. “Do you know what penalty you get for telling us this?”
     “Oh-no, ma’am…” The advisor pleaded. “Not the hand-in-the-box penalty.”
     “Yeah…” Shadow said, taking out a box and putting it on the table in front of the advisor. “The hand-in-the-box penalty.”

     So the advisor placed his hand into the box and then… SNAP! A mouse trap snapped onto the advisor’s hand.

     “YEOW!” The advisor yelled.
     “We gotta get some more money and jewels!” Rouge said.

     Then the front door was knocked.

     “That better not be that rabbit.” Rouge said. “We’ve already put up a ‘No Rabbits Allowed’ sign up.”

     As Shadow and Rouge went to the front door, someone was watching them. And it turned out to be Bugs Bunny.

     “Eh, my shift was already over when Sam got kicked out.” Bugs said. “Hopefully the newbies oughta take good care of them.”

     When Shadow and Rouge got to the front door and opened it, Sonic and Amy was there.

     “Good evening.” Sonic said. “We are the royal advisors for the king and queen. And we came here to tell you that you two might be the proprietors of…”
     “SCRAM, PUNK!” Shadow said, slamming the door on them as he and Rouge walked away.
     “2,000,000,000 pounds.” Sonic finished.
     “2,000,000,000 pounds?!” Shadow said, surprised.
     “2,000,000,000 pounds? Huh, puh-lease…” Rouge said as she walked away. “I wouldn’t let them in unless they also would give us…”
     “And 2,000,000,000 jewels.” Amy Rose added.
     “2,000,000,000 JEWELS?!” Rouge said.

     Then she and Shadow ran back to the front door and opened it.

     “My goodness, how rude of us.” Rouge said, allowing Sonic and Amy to enter their mansion. “Please, do come inside.”
     “Welcome to the house of Shadow and Rouge.” Shadow greeted.

     Moments later, Sonic and Amy were explaining the details of keeping the money and jewels to Shadow & Rouge.

     “And so, it is come to our decision that you can keep the money and jewels if you two have such good behavior.” Sonic read.
      “Okay, we’ll abide with that.” Shadow replied.
      “The royals advisors… That’s me and Amy…” Sonic read. “Will automatically deducted any amount, if there is any display of temper.”
      “Humma… wha?” Rouge said, trying to figure out what that meant.
      “What it means that if either one or both of you lose your temper,” Amy explained. “You both lose some money and jewels. Okay?”
      “Okay then.” Rouge replied. “We’ll totally be calm.”
      “Then allow us to be our humble acquaintances.” Shadow said, bowing.

     Later that evening, Shadow & Rouge had invited Sonic and Amy over to dinner. They were all eating until Sonic called out for Shadow.

     “Hey, Shad!” Sonic called out. “Can ya pass the salt, please?”
     “Salt!” Shadow said. “Get it yourself, punk!”
     “Punk? Uh-oh…” Sonic said getting out a paper and a quill pen. “That might cost you… uh…”
     “Salt, salt? Oh, how silly of me.” Shadow said, bringing the salt over to Sonic. “Here you go, Sonic. Fresh from the kitchen.”
     “Thanks, Shads.” Sonic said.
     “You’re welcome, Sonic.” Shadow said before walking back to his seat, grumbling lowly.
     “What’s the grumbling for, grumpy?” Rouge said when Shadow sat down.
     “That hedgehog wanted the salt.” Shadow said. “Next time, I’ll let him have it… in his face!”
     “Too bad you’re not as calm as I am.” Rouge said. “I’m sure Amy would never ask me to…”
     “Oh, Rouge!” Amy called. “Could you pass down the pepper, please?”
     “PEPPER?!” Rogue yelled. “GET IT YOUIRSELF, PINKY!”
     “Oh, dear. Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk.” Amy said, getting out her own paper and quill pen. “I think that’ll cost you…”
     “Oh, you wanted the pepper?” Rouge said calmly. “Why didn’t you say so? Coming right up?”

     Rouge flew to Amy with the pepper.

     “Here, Amy.” Rouge said, giving Amy the pepper. “On the house. Hope you like it.”
     “Thank you, Rouge.” Amy said kindly.
     “You’re welcome, dear.” Rouge said before walking back to her seat, grumbling as well.
     “Not as calm as you are, huh?” Shadow said, smiling.
     “Ah, shut up.” Rouge said before sitting back down. “Could have been worse.”
     “Yo, Shadow!” Sonic yelled.
     “Hey, Rouge?” Amy yelled as well.
     “What now?” Shadow and Rouge said, worried.
     “I could use some ketchup.” Sonic said.
     “How about the olives?” Amy asked.
     “KETCHUP?!” Shadow yelled.
     “OLVIES?!” Rouge said.

     They both growled as they both ran for the closet, went inside and slammed the door shut.

     “THAT DARN BLUE CONDIMENTING WANTING NEEDING…” Shadow yelled loudly.
     “THAT NO GOOD PINKY LOUSY BRATTY SNOBBY…” Rouge yelled as well.

     Their anger can be heard through the door. And when they stopped, they ran out of the closet and ran up to both Sonic and Amy.

     “Now, uh, what was it that you both wanted?” Shadow asked, calmly.
     “We like you two.” Rouge said. “You two make a better couple better than those Disney ones.”
     “Sonic & I heard what you two said in there,” Amy said. “And we definitely know that what you two said, wasn’t nice.”
     “Just for that,” Sonic said as he and Amy got out the paper and pen. “Those are going to cost you both 400 pounds and 400 jewels.”
     “300 POUNDS?!” Shadow yelled.
     “300 JEWELS?!” Rouge yelled.
     “Correction…” Sonic said. “400... each.”

     Shadow & Rouge both growled as they both ran out of the house over a few hills and started yelling some more.

     “THAT DARN BLUE MONEY TAKING, DOLLAR DEDUCTING…” Shadow yelled loudly.
     “THAT NO GOOD PINKY GEM TAKING, JEWEL TAKING, EMERALD EVICTING…” Rouge yelled as well.

     Later that night, Shadow and Rouge were getting ready for bed. But Sonic and Amy weren’t tired.

     “Me and Amy aren’t going to bed just yet.” Sonic said. “I think we’ll just stay up for a while.
     “Okay then.” Shadow answered.
     “Good night, Shadow. Good night, Rouge.” Amy said to both Shadow and Rouge.
     “Good night, guys.” Rouge said to both Sonic and Amy before she and Shadow walked up the stairs, grumbling lowly.

     Later that night, when Shadow & Rouge were in bed, everything was peaceful and quiet. Until loud music blared all throughout the mansion. It turned out to be Amy Rose, singing on a karaoke machine.

     “Sonic's my Love Machine, He is my fantasy…” Amy Rose sang. “He give me a kiss or three & I'm fine…”

     But then Shadow and Rouge ran out of the bedroom and looked down at both Sonic and Amy.

     “What’s going on here, blue boy?!” Shadow yelled out.
     “TURN THAT OFF, YOU BRITTNEY SPEARING BRAT!!!” Rouge yelled in anger.

     Amy gasped.

     “Sonic…” Amy said, disappointed.
     “I know, Amy.” Sonic said, taking out a paper and the quill pen. “And just for that, that’ll cost them 500 pounds and 500 jewels.”

     Shadow and Rouge, clamed down, ran down the steps and went up to Sonic and Amy.

     “We were only kidding, Sonic.” Rouge said. “We like Amy’s singing.”
     “In fact,” Shadow said. “How about playing us to sleep with that Bram’s lullaby. What do you say, Sonic?”
     “Well, ok.” Sonic replied. “Just to make it up to you two.”

      Moments later, when Shadow & Rouge are in bed, Sonic played Bram’s lullaby. But not in the way Shadow & Rouge had in mind. Sonic played with an electric guitar and played Bram’s Lullaby in a rock n’ roll kind of way. Sonic poked his head in to check on Shadow and Rouge.

     “Do you two like it?” Sonic asked.
     “Like it?” Shadow said. “We love it!”
     “10 thumbs up to 10 stars, baby.” Rouge said sarcastically.

     Shadow and Rouge both grumbled lowly as Sonic continued to play. The very next morning, Shadow took Sonic out on a tour of the mansion as Rouge offered Amy a morning bath in the bathroom. Amy had been in the bathroom for 15 minutes or so. As Rouge waited impatiently, Amy was singing from the bathroom.

     “Sweetly, you're so sweet, There's no where to hide…” Amy sang. “Sweetly, you're so sweet, Come on let's settle our lives…”

     Rouge couldn’t wait any longer as she banged on the door.

     “GET OUT OF THERE!” Rouge demanded. “COME OUT OF THERE RIGHT NOW, YOU BATHROOM HOGGING BRAT!”
     “I heard you out there, Rouge.” Amy said. “And I find Sonic, he’ll take away 600 jewels from you.”

     “GRRRRRR!!!!!!” Rouge growled loudly.
     “And 50 gems as well!” Amy Rose added.

     Rouge got so mad when her more of her jewels got taken away, she ran up to a piano and banged the keys with her fists and head repeatedly. Amy poked her head out.

     “Hey Rouge, what’s that song you were playing?” Amy asked. “I kinda like it.”   

     Amy went back into the bathroom as Rouge growled.

     “I hate that little girl!” Rouge said. “If I keep flipping out, I won’t have any jewels left!”
     “I know how you feel.” Shadow said, as he walked up to her. “If I keep blowing my top off, we’ll be bankrupted!”
     “I agree.” Rouge said. “Those money and jewel taking hedgehogs have got to go!”
     “I say we get rid of them and make it look like an accident.” Shadow suggested.
     “Not a bad idea, Shadow.” Rouge said. “You get rid of Sonic, and I’ll deal with his girl.”
     “Got it.” Shadow said as he walked away.
      
      They put their plans into effect. Rouge got a saw and cut a hole in front of the bathroom door. If Amy were to step through this hole, she’ll fall all the way down into the moat, where she’ll drown. Then Rouge would finally get her jewels. But she didn’t want Amy to notice the hole, as she placed a rug over it. Then pounded her foot on the floor making it sound like a knock on the door.

     “Hey, Amy!” Rouge called. “There’s someone at the door for you.”
     “Can you tell them to come back later?” Amy asked. “I might be in here for a while.”

     But Rouge couldn’t wait.

     “OH NO, YOU DON’T! YOU’RE COMING OUT RIGHT NOW!” Rouge yelled as she ran inside of the bathroom and pushed Amy out. “OUT, OUT, OUT- YAAAHHH!”

     Rouge pushed Amy so hard she didn’t notice that she fell for her own trap as she pushed Amy over the hole and Rouge fell right through. She continues to yell mean things until she landed with a splash. Later on, when Rouge got back up to the mansion, she was all soaking wet. Then she saw Amy exiting the bathroom.

     “Ok, Rouge. I’m done.” Amy said. “But you’ll have to wait for the hot water to rise up again.”

     Rouge got so mad, she started to charge right for her.

     “WHY YOU LITTLE…” Was all Rouge could say before she fell through the hole in the floor again.

     Rouge yelled again as she fell, only this time, she blurted out, “IF I HADN’T FINISHED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE, I’D KEEP ALL THOSE JEWELS!” right before she landed with another splash.

     Amy gasped.

     “How could she? And I thought she would be calm.” Amy said. “I gotta find Sonic and tell all about this!”

     As Amy searched for Sonic, he was already walking up the stairs like Shadow told him to do.

     “You know what?” Sonic said. “Mt. Everest is no comparison to these stairs.”

     As Sonic got near to the top, Shadow was about to put his plan into effect. He was hiding in a suit of royal armor, holding an axe. And when Sonic got to the top of the stairs, Shadow swung the axe and tried to cut Sonic in 2. But Sonic ducked at the moment when the axe was swung, causing Shadow to lose balance, fall of the pedestal and bounce down the stairs. As Shadow fell down the steps, he yelled out mean thing including his attempted to get rid of Sonic. As Shadow fell, Amy ran up to Sonic.

     “Sonic!” Amy said. “You won’t believe what Rouge tried to do to me!”
     “Speak for yourself.” Sonic said. “Shadow almost tried to do the same thing to me.”
     “How much do you think they’ll both lose?” Amy asked, taking out a paper and a quill pen.
     “Quite a lot, if ya ask me.” Sonic said, also taking out a paper and a quill pen.

     Later on that day, Sonic and Amy were just about to leave when Shadow and Rouge ran up to them.

     “Hey, Sonic!” Shadow said. “Wait up. Don’t leave yet.”
     “Yeah. We’ve got it licked, guys.” Rouge said. “We don’t get mad anymore. Here, watch this.”

     Sonic and Amy watched as Shadow and Rouge both got pies thrown in the face by the butlers, had their butts kicked by the advisors, and hit in the head with rolling pins by the maids.

     “See?” Shadow said, laughing. “We can take it. This’ll solve our anger problems forever.”
     “Come back anytime.” Rouge said.

     As Shadow & Rouge got pied, kicked and whacked on, Sonic and Amy left the manor. And later on, when they were out of the grounds of Bedlam Manor, Amy spoke to Sonic.

     “You know what, Sonic?” Amy said. “I think Shadow and Rouge are actually controlling their tempers now.”
     “Sure, they are.” Sonic said. “But there’s just 1 problem.”
     “What’s that?” Amy asked.
     “I just haven’t got the heart to tell them that they used up all the money and jewels.” Sonic replied.
