'Of Loaf And Death', Pt. 4

PART 4

        Gary, Daisy, Tad, Violet, Rudy and Ellie were all in handcuffs as they were being led out of the building, down to the street and into the paddy wagon. Ash and Misty were being led to a police squad car, both of their hands are handcuffed as well.

        "You two have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you both in a court of law." A police officer says to Ash and Misty as they were shoved in the back seat of the police car. "You two have the right to choose your own jail clothing once we've located the proper jail for you and your gang to transport to."

        Ash and Misty just groaned depressingly as the squad car was driven away followed by the paddy wagon that had their gang members inside. Detective Bugs watched as the squad car and the paddy wagon was driven down the street and out of sight. Then Amy walked up to Detective Bugs with a big gift wrapped box.

        "Hey, Detective Bugs?" Amy said.
        "Yes?" Bugs replied.
        "Can you deliver this to Ash and Misty?" Amy said. "It's sort of a anniversary gift for them."
        "Eh... ok." Bugs said. "Anythin' else?"
        "As a matter of fact... can you also..." Amy said before whispering something right into Bugs' left rabbit ear.
        "Sure..." Detective Bugs said, taking the box. "I'll get right on it."

        As Detective Bugs was walking away with the box, Amy merrily skipped over to Sonic where he was talking to Baker Porky.

        "Th-th-thank you for saving my assistant b-b-baker, Sonic." Baker Porky said. "I could've g-g-gone out of business if you hadn't came to her rescue."
        "No problem." Sonic said, "You can say that when it comes to galloping with gangsters and savin' Amy from those kind of guys is all in a days work!"

        Then Amy walked up to Sonic.

        "Thank you for saving me again as usual, Sonic." Amy said.
        "Heh. No problem." Sonic said. "I guess you'll be giving me some sort of reward for saving you right."
        "As a matter of fact... I do." Amy said. "I'm going to give you something really special for saving me."
        "Are you gonna make me a cake?" Sonic guessed.
        "No... Try again." Amy said cheerfully as she took Sonic's hands.
        "A Pie?" Sonic guessed again as Amy took led him towards the building.
        "It's better then that..." Amy said cheerfully as she took Sonic into the building. "It's something sweet, but it's not any baked goods."
        "Then what did you wanna give me?" Sonic asked, giving up.
        "These." Amy said as she kissed Sonic all over his head and planted a big kiss on his lips.
        "Dah..." Sonic said, with hearts in his eyes, being dizzy and dazed from all of Amy's kissing.

        Baker Porky looked over at the hedgehog couple.

        Aw..." Baker Porky awed. "*to audience* L-l-looks like Amy gave Sonic his just deserts."

Epilogue

        Ash and Misty were now at the police station's holding cells.

        "Now you're both right where you belong." Officer Jenny said, closing the jail cell door on them and locking it. "But don't worry, we'll find a nice bridal suite room for the two of you... in Alcatraz."

        Officer Jenny walked away, putting her keys into her pouch pocket. Ash and Misty were in one jail cell while Gary, Daisy, Tad, Violet, Rudy and Ellie were in separate in 2 cells.

        "Hey, Rudy!" Ash called out to Rudy in the cell to the left. "Got any ideas on how to escape?"
        "None at the moment." Rudy said, who was making out with Ellie in one cell. "I got businesses of my own, bub."
        "Aw, man." Ash said, then looked over to the cell on his right. "Hey, Tad! What about you?! Any escape plans?!"
        "Um... Tad is like, AWOL with me right now, so..." Violet said, who's making out with Tad. "Can you like, leave us alone for a while?"
        "Aw... not him, too." Ash said, then looking over at the cell across from his on the right. "Gary! Do you-"
        "Ah... shaddap!" Gary said, who was making out with Daisy.
        "Like, we're busy!" Daisy spatted.
        Ash slammed his fists on the cell! "AW... DANG IT!"
        "So... I guess we're not escaping?" Misty asked.
        "Apparently not!" Ash said, as he sat down next to Misty on the bed. "The only way outta here is in 20 years."
        "Great..." Misty said, depressed. "This was supposed to be our anniversary, and we get arrested. How can it get any worse?!"
        "Eh... you two have a special delivery." Detective Bugs said outside of the cell.

        Officer Jenny unlocked the cell door as Detective Bugs entered the cell and placed the gift wrap box on the floor.

        "Enjoy." Detective Bugs said as he left the cell.

        Ash and Misty looked at each other. Then they went up to the box. Ash looked at the gift tag. It said,

        TO: Ash Barrow and Misty Parker
        FROM: Amy Rose

        "It's from that baker girl, Amy." Ash said.
        "Do you think this is some sort of revenge?" Misty asked.
        "I'm too worried to know." Ash said, "There's one way to find out... Misty, we'll haveta open that box together."
        "You sure about this?" Misty asked.
        "I don't have any better ideas." Ash replied.
        "Ok..." Misty said.

        So Ash and Misty opened up the box and from the box, they saw... a cake. A fancy looking cake with 3 striped sparkly candles that circled the words "HAPPY 10 MONTH ANNIVERSARY ASH & MISTY".

        "Awwwwww..." Ash and Misty both awed.
        "She made us a cake..." Ash said.
        "And after all she's been through..." Misty said, "She still made us one?"
        "Well, I guess things turned out sorta alright in the end." Ash said, looking at Misty. "Happy Anniversary, babe."
        "Oh, Ash." Misty said as she and Ash kissed.
        "Wanna make a wish before we blow out the candles?" Ash asked her.
        "Nah, let's just blow out these candles and get it over with." Misty stated. "We'll blow 'em out on the count of 3."
        "Ok." Ash asked.
        "I'll go first." Misty said as she started to count. "1..."
        "2..." Ash continued.
        "3!" Ash and Misty both said.

        And as just as they were about to blow out the candles...

        *KA-BOOM!*

        The cake blew up in their faces. It turns out that the sparkly candles were really just sticks of TNT, painted with white and pink stripes to look like sparkly candles. And when the cake blew up, Ash and Misty were both covered in ashes, scorch marks and cake frosting and icing all over from head to toe.

        "Honey...?" Misty slurred.
        "Yeah...?" Ash slurred in confusion.
        "I suddenly lost my appetite for dessert." Misty slurred.
        "You know what?" Ash slurred. "I did too."

        Then Ash and Misty both fell back over and went out like lights. Detective Bugs was over at the police station's holding cells entrance as he looked over at Ash and Misty's cell.

        And with a smile on his face, Bugs said, "Now that's one anniversary that went out with a bang! Eee, hee, hee, hee..."
